We Finally See ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Villain Cade In Season 8, Episode 6

If you thought things were getting dire in Mystic Falls before, buckle up, because the literal devil is finally here, according to The Vampire Diaries Season 8 spoilers.

The Vampire Diaries Cade

The ultimate Big Bad Cade has been summoned by Seline, and Alaric and Caroline's (and Jo’s) twin girls.

He’s going to be a huge presence in The Vampire Diaries Season 8, Episode 6, as the show hurtles toward the end of the series.

“Tell me,” Cade says, “What brings me here?”

We’re wondering this, too, Cade, but based on some of these photos, we know it can’t be for good. At the very least, we know Cade does come into contact with the twins.

However, there is one good piece of news here: The episode was directed by Stefan Salvatore himself, Paul Wesley.

Though he already murdered Tyler Lockhart, it could be the little girls that finally push Damon over the edge.

“If Damon gets in between me and my girls, I’m going to kill him,” Caroline tells Stefan, which seriously puts him in an awkward place, because based on photos, it certainly looks like Damon is sitting with the twins, Seline, and Sybil at a restaurant.

Does he choose his newly-minted fiancée and the self-proclaimed love of his life, or his murderous brother?

According to the synopsis for Episode 6, “Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell,” it seems he teams up with Caroline to save her twins, which might raise some upsetting feelings for her former fiancé, Alaric.

“When her children become the focus of the Siren’s latest plan, Caroline takes drastic measures to ensure nothing gets in the way of keeping her family safe. In a race against the clock, Stefan pledges to do everything he can to save the twins, while tensions between Alaric and Caroline boil over, leading them to face some harsh realities about the future of their family.”

Sadly, this “path to hell” seems to extend to the reunited Bonnie and Enzo, as Enzo can’t seem to resist Sybil’s powers.

“Meanwhile, when Enzo finds himself unable to fight off Sybil’s latest move, Stefan dives into his subconscious and along the way, sets off a chain of events that leaves him faced with a life-changing decision.”

Serious question: Can things even get worse for our BFFs from Mystic Falls?
