‘The Walking Dead’ Releases Official Trailer, Premiere Date for Season 7
AMC just released the trailer for Season 7 of The Walking Dead, and we’re on the edge of our seats!
The 3-minute trailer begins with each potential victim of Negan having heartbreaking flashbacks of the good times— post-apocalypse, that is.
If you don’t tear up during those flashbacks, your heart is as rotten as a walker’s.
Not only do we get a glimpse of what each character has to lose, but the trailer also shows what’s in store for the future of our favorite zombie-killing gang.
Negan has taken control of the remaining survivors and looks totally bad-ass as he walks around in his leather jacket swinging around Lucille and casually drinking lemonade.
(Ok, we love to hate his character, but you have to admit the leather jacket looks cool.)
We also get a first look at King Ezekiel, a fan-favorite character from the comic books.
With Negan and the King’s huge egos and thirst for power, we’re sure the two will have some problems in the new season.
In addition to the gut-wrenching trailer, AMC also revealed the season premiere air date during its Comic-Con panel.
October 23 is when it all goes down!
“It’s absolutely worth the wait,” executive producer Robert Kirkman said during the panel.
TWD star Andrew Lincoln also raved about the season premiere during Comic-Con.
“We all link arms, it’s a really sh—ty start to the season, but hang on because we are heading to one of the greatest showdowns of the show.”
Similar to past years, the new season will be split in two parts. Eight episodes will air in the fall and the remaining eight will air when the show returns from winter break in February 2017.
Until then we’ll be counting down the days until October 23!
