Is Tyra Banks Getting Fired From “America’s Got Talent” Already?
Apparently, not everything Tyra Banks touches is gold.
The former model may be getting fired from her hosting gig on America's Got Talent.
She replaced Nick Cannon as the host for the 12th season of the show.
According to Life & Style, after only a short time with her gig, the 43-year-old won't be with the show much longer.
"There are some big shake-ups about to happen on AGT, and Tyra could be on the chopping block,” a source said.
While the ratings for the 12th season have been fine, there's another reason for her departure.
According to the insider, "Tyra hasn't made any friends behind the scenes."
“The cast and crew have found Tyra tough to work with,” the Life & Style source said.
“She has to be in charge at all times, and she always has to have the last word.”
In May, AGT was sued when Tyra was accused of verbally assaulting and physically manipulating a contestant.
According to the complaint, Tyra "physically manipulated and verbally abused Mary. Banks shook Mary’s shoulder, pulled Mary’s hair back and physically manipulated Mary. … Mary did not stop Banks’ conduct because Mary was fearful. Banks also insinuated that Mary was accidentally conceived, made fun of the performance and ridiculed [the song] in front of Mary."
The couple welcomed their son York via surrogate last year.
"Tyra’s always wanted two kids," an insider told Life & Style.
"[She’s] itching for a daughter this time. She’d love a mini version of herself to dress up. Tyra loves the idea because growing up, she had an older brother.”
You can watch America's Got Talent on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
