VH1 Sees Major Ratings Win Thanks to Love & Hip Hop and The Family Hustle
VH1 owes some of our favorite stars a great big thank-you note. Why? Because Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle have helped score the channel a major ratings boost. Read on for the details!
According to the latest from Nielsen, the first three spots on a list of Top 25 cable shows for predominately African American audiences all have a home on VH1. That’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta as No. 1 followed by T.I. and Tiny and Atlanta Exes. Each brought in millions upon millions of viewers, beating out established favorites like WWE and Bad Girls Club on Oxygen for the win.
Those stats mean VH1 was the most watched cable network during the week of September 1 through September 7 with nearly 10 million viewers for the three shows.
Of course, these numbers come as no surprise if you’ve tuned in as avidly as we have over the past few months. The drama dished out on Love & Hip Hop, Family Hustle, and Atlanta Exes doesn’t disappoint. Now with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood joining the family, we can only imagine VH1’s going to be in the top spot for a long time to come.
Are you surprised by VH1’s success or knew these shows were all winners from the start?
