Lupita Nyong’o Is Totally Confused By ‘The Walking Dead’ (VIDEO)
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o is currently starring in The Walking Dead actress Danai Gurira’s Broadway play, Eclipsed, but don’t expect her to be a TWD expert!
As a matter of fact, the acclaimed actress has never even owned a TV, so following along with the AMC drama and all of its complex storylines is out of the question.

Still, Danai doesn’t hold anything against her longtime pal and her lack of small screen knowledge.
“It’s actually very refreshing — she calls me Michonne-y,” Michonne’s portrayer tells Variety in the video below.
If Lupita can’t even master the real name of Danai’s on-screen character, then don’t even get her started on the combined monikers that are ‘shipper names.
“She’s like, ‘In Facebook they keep calling you Richonne,’” Danai adds.

Working on the play, however, has been nothing but smooth sailing for the pair.
“This has been a godsend of a production because of the level of love and respect in the room,” Lupita previously told Entertainment Weekly. “We genuinely like each other, which helps. This is the kind of play where you need a sisterhood.”
Eclipsed is currently on Broadway, and The Walking Dead Season 7 will premiere in the fall on AMC.
