The Walking Dead: March To War explores real-world locations with a twist!
How does this game fit into the canon universe?
The Walking Dead: March To War debuts today on the Apple app store and Google Play, Variety reports.
This strategy game promises a deep dive into the paranoid reality of the apocalypse.
March To War leans on the artwork of Robert Kirkman’s comic books.
While not connected to the AMC series, the plot of the game will dive into events leading up to the All Out War arc.
The story will follow four groups of survivors as they fight to survive a massive walker horde in the Washington D.C. area.
The game’s map will include real-world locations alongside fictional ones like Alexandria and the Hilltop.
March To War will also feature real-time multi-player action. You decide whether to be a team player or a formidable threat.
Gameplay allows you to battle the undead, fight living enemies, and team up with other players to form an unstoppable group of survivors.
Players will also be responsible for building and maintaining their survival base.
Don’t worry, you’ll be able to recruit familiar comic book characters into your counsel to help out!
This news comes on the heels of TWD’s recently announced augmented reality game.
Virtual reality games and a final TellTale installment are also in the works.
