Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, was MIA from  The Walking Dead Season 6, Episode 2: “JSS,” but he’s back in action in Episode 3: “Thank You.”

Episode 2 dealt with what was happening back at Alexandria while Rick, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), and the others were carrying out their plan to drive the quarry horde away from the safe haven, but Episode 4 has us following that first group yet again.

NEWS: Everything We Know About TWD Season 6, Episode 3

The sneak peek of Season 6, Episode 3 below shows Rick running down an empty road towards a small group of walkers as Glenn tries to contact him via walkie talkie from a different point on the route.

While Rick doesn’t seem all that concerned with what Glenn is saying, he is very focused on killing the walkers before him, hacking them particularly vigorously. In fact, Rick is so in the zone that he ends up cutting his own hand while eliminating a walker.

Did something happen to set Rick off? Is he missing vital information from Glenn as he’s destroying some walkers? Looks like we’ll have to wait and see!

The Walking Dead Season 6 airs Sunday nights at at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
