Walking Dead Season 6: Are Rick and Morgan at Odds?
Last we saw The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) he had just killed Pete on Deanna Monroe’s (Tovah Feldshuh) orders after Pete murdered Deanna’s husband Reg. As Rick stood over Pete’s body, Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) returned with Rick’s long-lost friend Morgan Jones (Lennie James) in tow.
We saw Morgan sporadically throughout Season 5, and from what we can tell he’s got this new Zen-like attitude that wouldn’t jibe with Rick’s recent actions or his general kill-or-be-killed mentality. TWD’s just-released Comic Con key art seems to suggest that the onetime friends might be at odds when the mega-successful series returns this fall.
On the left side we see Rick, who is practically butting heads with Morgan. Behind Rick we have his usual crew — Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) etc. — but it’s those people who are behind Morgan who are of particular interest to us.
Basically, Morgan’s “team” consists of the important Alexandria residents — Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge), Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh), Aaron (Ross Marquand), and Deanna’s surviving son, as well as last season’s traitor, Father Gabriel Stokes (Seth Gilliam).
By the end of Season 5 we were convinced that all of these people were on the same side, but apparently there’s trouble brewing between these two factions come Season 6. At least that’s what this key art suggests. We’re ready for it!
The Walking Dead Season 6 premieres this fall on AMC.
