‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7: Negan Is an “Ever-Present, Constant Threat”
Negan is sticking around for The Walking Dead Season 7, and according to TWD creator Robert Kirkman, he’s going to be badder than ever.
Calling Season 7 “pretty great,” Robert says one negative aspect of the Season 6 cliffhanger is people are too focused on who died and “aren’t talking about Jeffrey Dean Morgan enough,” but that will all change soon.

“I think that he is absolutely amazing as Negan. I think that his presence in that finale adds so much to the show. I know people don’t like the cliffhanger aspect of it, but I like to think that everything up to that moment was pretty amazing, and people were digging it,” he tells Uproxx. “I think people are discounting the fact that Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Negan are in the show now, so you’re going to be seeing stuff like that pretty much every episode of Season 7.”
Clarifying that he didn’t mean we’d be seeing more cliffhangers, Robert adds, “Negan is going to be an ever-present, constant threat that is going to change everything moving forward. And maybe I’ve said things like that before, but I promise you, Negan is going to be different.”
If the big bad’s brutal debut is any indication, we’re already well aware of just how different Negan is. It will be interesting to see how he interacts with our group going forward, especially after killing a beloved member.

No matter what happens, RK couldn’t be more psyched about what’s to come.
“Season 7 is going to be really cool. I couldn’t be more excited about it,” he says.
Same here, Robert!
The Walking Dead Season 7 will premiere in the fall on AMC.
