Carrie Underwood Is “Hurt & Offended” at Wendy Williams’s Face Lift Accusations

UPDATE (01/10/18 8.30 a.m. ET)

Carrie Underwood is not happy with Wendy Williams, after the talk show host blamed Carrie for using her recent fall as an excuse to get a face lift.

The country singer is said to be "hurt and offended that Wendy would make such a horrible accusation."

A source told Hollywood Life, "Carrie feels like her integrity has been attacked when Wendy accused Carrie of lying about her fall to cover up a face lift.

"Carrie is angered that anyone would think she would be anything but completely honest with her fans.

"Carrie takes Wendy’s accusations very seriously.

"While she does not feel Wendy’s callous comments warrant a public response, Carrie is consulting with her team, contemplating the best course of action moving forward."

Wendy, of course, is not one to take things lying down and has countered this by inviting Carrie on to her show.

A source close to the 53-year-old said, "She would love to have Carrie on her show to discuss her accident and to dispel any face lift allegations and rumors.

"As soon as the accident was made public, Wendy’s team reached out to Carrie with the invitation, which was ignored and that is why Wendy went on the attack."

Over to you Carrie!

Wendy Williams is calling out Carrie Underwood!

The country star has been very open about recovering from a fall she took at her home back in November.

Though the former American Idol revealed she may look different following the accident, the talk show host speculated she may have gotten a facelift instead!

“Did you hear about her? I really don’t know a whole bunch about it, but she allegedly fell down a bunch of steps at her house, broke her wrist,” the 53-year-old said on her show.

“She [Carrie] released on Twitter that we may not recognize her when it’s all said and done. I don’t know what that means… an excuse for a face lift.”

The audience was clearly shocked by her comment, so the mother of one kind of took it back.

“No… We’re cynical! She was already cute, so I don’t know what she’s doing or what happened,” she confessed.

“If you’re home by yourself, how long do you lay there? Who’s going to save you, the dog?”

The blonde beauty has remained out of the spotlight since the accident occured two months ago.

“While there were no life-threatening injuries, she was taken to the hospital to be treated,” her rep said in a statement.

“She sustained multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions from the fall… Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes.”

The mother of one also recently took to social media to reveal she may look different after receiving 40 stitches.

“In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I’ll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told [my husband] Mike that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in,” she shared.

Now, here we are 7 weeks later and, even though I’ve had the best people helping me, I’m still healing and not quite looking the same.”
